-As much as I like to always post beautiful, inspiring content about life on this blog, I know deep down that that would be too fantastical to be true, especially because I want to portray life as it really is. And I’m sure any of you can testify to the fact that life is NOT always rosy-
Sometimes, you have to keep trying
For days, week, months, even years on end.
Sometimes, you have to seek a goal that is not definite;
A light in the darkness, with no guarantee of its existence.
Sometimes, you have to make the journey alone
With only anxiety and thoughts of your inabilities for company.
Sometimes, there are added burdens from other aspects of life;
As if dealing with one problem wasn’t enough.
None of these situations on their own are easy,
Let alone having to face them all at once.
Trying times ask you to try harder
Harder than you even want to, harder than you even think you have the strength to.
And the worst part is, there’s no way around it – no lanes to cut in a never-ending tunnel.
You can give up and stop, but the only way to get to the end is to keep moving.
And it’s exasperating (to put it mildly) when the end is not what you want it to be.
But it always puts you in a better position than before.
You may have to try twenty times over until you succeed,
You may have to keep trying even when it makes no sense anymore.
But try until you lose sight of what you were trying for.
It’s irrelevant, really, whether you gain or lose from suffering;
Trying makes you learn so much more about yourself;
Things that surprise you and make you want to do it all over again.
And even though it’s not always worth the pain,
Try. You owe it to yourself.
